The first leg of this flight was bizarre. We took a huge 737 jet from the tiny airport at Gustavus to Juneau. There were 11 passengers on the flight, and it took a total of 13 minutes. Not sure why they use a jet. Even the crew joked about it.

| The jet from Gustavus to Juneau. I'm pretty sure that you can see both cities at the same time! |
From the rainy city of Juneau, we flew to Anchorage, another rainy city. We got the rental car, quickly grabbed some supplies, and hit the road to Girdwood, a small ski town where apparently everyone has a dog and they are all loyal enough to be off leash! It was one of the most dog-friendly towns we've ever seen.
