Not sure which was cooler- the helicopter ride or the glacier!

Flying in a helicopter was so cool.  We took off from the Juneau airport and flew over snowy peaks to circle the Mendenhall Glacier, part of the Juneau Icefield- which is 1,500 square miles of ice flowing through the jagged peaks.  We circled back and landed on the glacier's blue ice, where we were able to wander around for a bit, peeking into crevasses of flowing water and taking in the immense landscape.  We were encouraged to drink the water, which had been been frozen for 300+ years.  Incredible experience.
