At dinner we met up with our instructors and another grad student named Charlotte- though she will be studying the invasive Australian Pine, so might not be working with us that much.
I had the jerk chicken caesar salad. It was spicy and delicious. Katia had the shrimp pasta with a side of fried plantains. Plantains are also delicious!
We spent a long time after dinner talking with Trevor and two of the professors, Dr. John Mylroie and Dr. John Rodgers, at the hotel "honor bar". All the stories and insight got us very excited for the trip to San Salvador!
Trevor and Katia and I all headed down to the ocean at the end of the night, and for the first time felt how the Bahamian 80-degree water feels. Tomorrow we'll be going back to the airport and flying to San Salvador island!
