Spent a whole day out on a small fishing boat in the Kenai Fjords region. We were trying to catch the winner of the Seward Halibut Derby, but that didn't end up happening. Landed 2 halibut, a rockfish, a few spiny dogfish and a huge Lingcod. Only the halibut and rockfish were in season, so we kept them. We found a woman in Seward who would smoke half of it in various flavors, and vacuum freeze the rest. We managed to ship home 20 lbs of fish via FedEx!

We got back late at night and found a dive bar behind our hotel where we had a beer and some bar food. Heading to Homer in the morning!
